It’s a healthier take on the traditional take out beef and broccoli, the only difference is – you’ll actually feel good after eating it. Ingredients & Substitutions
- Olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil will be used to roast the broccoli and sauté the garlic. You can use coconut oil or avocado oil.
- Ground beef. 1 lb of 85% lean ground beef. You can use ground turkey, chicken, or pork.
- Broccoli. Head of broccoli, cut into florets.
- Coconut aminos. Adds a rich, umami flavor, ideal for marinades and sauces; coconut aminos are a great soy-free, paleo-friendly option.
- Sesame oil. Contributes a nutty aroma and taste, adding complexity to the sauce.
- Apple cider vinegar. Adds a slightly sour, vinegary taste that is a little bit sweeter than other vinegars.
- Green onions. Chopped green onions to garnish the paleo beef and broccoli.
- Sesame seeds. To garnish.
How to Make This Paleo Beef & Broccoli
Step 1
Cook the broccoli. Preheat oven to 425. Season broccoli with olive oil, salt and pepper. Spread on a greased baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until slightly crispy.

Cook the beef. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in skillet at medium, high heat. Add garlic and sauté for a 1-2 minutes. Then add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking apart.
Step 3
Make the sauce. Add coconut aminos, sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper to skillet. Stir until beef is fully coated with seasonings. Turn down heat and let simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
Combine broccoli & beef. Add broccoli to the skillet and stir until fully combined.

Serve & enjoy! Assemble paleo beef and broccoli bowls. To keep it paleo serve with cauliflower rice and garnish with green onions. If you’re not paleo, serve with jasmine rice.
